Intura SunTube UK daylight tunnel

Intura, known for its daylight solutions such as roof windows and flat roof windows, introduced its own tubular skylight this spring: Intura SunTube. A key advantage of this skylight is its standard crystal glass dome, and it is available in three popular models: Intura SunTube25 with a Ø25, Intura SunTube35 with a Ø35, and Intura SunTube55 with a Ø55.

The dome of every Intura SunTube is made of crystal glass as standard, making it quiet, durable, and self-cleaning. Installation of these tubular skylight sets is straightforward, including on flat roofs, thanks to the pre-applied roof covering. Choose from a base set with EPDM, bitumen, or PVC.

The Intura SunTube daylight system for flat roofs is a tubular skylight that transports natural daylight to any room in a home, office, or commercial building.

Base set for flat and pitched roofs

The base set consists of the following components:

• Crystal glass dome
• Double-walled insulated aluminium upstand in RAL 9005
• Flat roof: supplied with pre-applied bitumen, EPDM, or PVC roof membrane
• Pitched roof: supplied with pre-applied Leadax (synthetic lead)
• Tube length of 60 cm (can be shortened as needed)
• Easy-click diffuser for simple finishing
• All required mounting materials for installation

This flat roof base set contains everything needed for installation if your roof is no thicker than 41 cm (or 61 cm with the insulation element), measured from the top of the roofing material to the underside of the ceiling.

Extensions

• Can be expanded with an EcoPower insulation element
• The base set can be extended up to 6 metres

A light tunnel is a system that uses reflection to channel daylight inside. One advantage of this system is that it only requires a small roof opening compared to, for example, a skylight or flat roof window.

The Intura SunTube light tunnel features a crystal glass dome and highly reflective tubing that transports more daylight inside than direct light from, for instance, a standard skylight. The dome is self-cleaning, does not discolour, and algae or dirt will not adhere to it, ensuring no loss of light over the years.
